Ok, everything's going ok. Smoothly, gently, quietly. 'Cause everything's going ok, Everything's aaa-ooh, ok. Ooh, ok. No one knows what it feels like, no one knows how it feels, no one knows how I feel, being broken. Inside ruptured, soaking, wet of sweat, but ok. Never mind problems creeping and keep me awake.. Ooh, ok. Ooh, ok. No one knows what it feels like, no one knows how it feels, no one knows how I feel..

about

"The year was '85, an evening as any other would have been.
I was lost in thought parked at the side of the road, my blank gaze aimed towards the cars speeding by on the highway.
I imagined every single one of them was on their way to some place of importance to them, or someone..
Midnight drew closer, I took one last deep breath and turned the ignition.
As the engine sprung to life with a deep growl, my eyes turned to the endless black stretch of asphalt in front of me.
It was time. Time to drive towards the neon lights of the city, where I would look for that one familiar face in the dark ocean of strangers.
I would never stop."

---

Midnight Drive is a retrowave adventure aching to the sound of the eighties with sounds from the legendary DX7, ARP2600 and Juno-6 synths. A modern Outrun soundtrack fueled by dreams of neon cities, fast cars and a determination to find lost love.
Inspiration was drawn from endlessly driving around to clear my head, focused solely on the black tarmac flowing under the car.

A word of gratitude to:

* Yves Schelpe aka Psy'Aviah, for providing the stems to 'OK'.
Psy'Aviah will always be a little special to me and I'm grateful to have been part of that journey, whether through remixes or as friends. Thank you for the support!

* Alfa Matrix, for granting me a remix license for 'OK'.
I know licensing for a remix is something you don't often allow, but I am grateful that an exception was made for this. Thank you.

* Emélie Nicolaï, for the broken heart that unfortunately lead to these endlessly long night drives.
I regret that we ended on such bad terms. Perhaps one day we can set aside our differences and talk as friends, instead of being strangers.

* Ed Finkler aka Dead Agent, for remixing 'After Her'.
I expected a sonic bombshell of a track and was definitely not disappointed. You're a great producer!

* George Mavrikis aka MoHok, for remixing 'Driver'.
I absolutely love what you've done with the melodies in this song. Those subtle changes are what makes it so unique!
